Plans to Reopen
After being closed for almost two months, Rehoboth Beach plans to reopen the beach and Boardwalk this Friday, May 15. The beach and Boardwalk will open for walking and physical exercise. However, swimming in the ocean will still be prohibited. Parking meters and permits will not be enforced until at least May 29.
Mayor Paul Kuhns has asked visitors to continue social distancing and wear face masks.
The reopening of Rehoboth's beach and Boardwalk is exciting news for businesses and restaurants. City officials will reconvene Friday morning, May 15 to discuss reopening the city.
